Here’s what Amy has to say:
I have been interested in drawing since a young age, deciding at the age of 8 that I wanted to be an animator. Although my ambition has changed slightly over the years, my enthusiasm for art has been constant and I am now in my final year at Kingston University studying Illustration and Animation, specialising in Animation. Prior to moving to Kingston, I attended the Art Foundation course at Swansea Metropolitan University where I enjoyed working in and between the boundaries of Fine Art, Textiles, Graphic Design and Illustration, making sure not to limit my work to any set category. I am influenced by a range of different styles and love the work of Joseph Pierce, Julia Pott, and Ralph Steadman. I am also inspired by the author/screenwriter Mirada July and director Wes Anderson. I have not done any professional work yet but I’v designed posters, tattoos and Cd Art work for friends.
I am currently in the production process of my final major project which will be a 3 minute animation, ready to screen in our course degree show in East London in July. Once i graduate I plan on moving into central London and working as either a free lance Illustrator, or an Animator for a small company….or both.
